You're bidding this month's jobs with last month's prices.

TightNumbers works inside Google Sheets. It flags prices that have gone stale before you bid, and retainage you're owed but never billed.

Material prices move every week. Your price book doesn't. Every bid built on old numbers either loses the job or eats your margin, and you don't find out which until it's too late. TightNumbers watches the dates on your numbers so you don't have to.

Illustrative example. Your sheet, your prices. TightNumbers just adds the dates and the warnings.

Free with every install

  • Timestamps every price edit automatically
  • Shows the age of every number in your price book
  • Adds up withheld retainage across your jobs
  • Works in the spreadsheet you already use
  • No new logins, no new apps to learn

Thirty seconds. Be honest.

1. When did you last update your price book?

If you had to think about it, some of those numbers are stale.

2. Could you say, right now, how much retainage you're owed across all open jobs?

Most contractors can't. That money doesn't chase itself.

3. When a price changes, does your sheet know, or just you?

If it lives in your head, it walks off the job when you're busy.

Answered wrong on any of them? That's the gap TightNumbers closes.

Each module is priced separately.

The bid that goes out with TightNumbers, and the one without.

Before

Copper jumped 11% since March. Your price book still says March. The bid goes out, you win it, and the margin you counted on was gone before the first truck rolled.

Nothing in the sheet warned you. Nothing could.

After TightNumbers

Same sheet, same bid. Except this time a banner across the top says three prices are past their limit, copper is one of them, and it's 94 days old. You spend two minutes on the phone with your supplier, fix three cells, and the bid goes out with numbers you can stand behind.

The software didn't win the job. It kept the job worth winning.

Questions, answered straight.

Is it really free?

Yes. Install is free, timestamps and age display are free, basic retainage math is free, forever. Pro adds the warnings, limits, and reports. You'll know when you need them.

Why does Google show a permission screen when I install?

Google requires it for every add-on, so you'll see one for each TightNumbers add-on you install. Each asks for two things only: access to the spreadsheet it's open in, and permission to check your license key when you buy Pro. Neither can see your other files, your Drive, or your email.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere. Your prices, your bids, your retainage numbers stay in your spreadsheet, in your Google account. We have no server that stores them. The full details are in the privacy policy, in plain English.

Do I need to change how I work?

No. If your estimates and billing live in Google Sheets, TightNumbers drops into what you already have. If you're starting fresh, our templates give you a clean price book and progress-billing sheet built to work with it.

Is it one add-on or two?

Two. The Stale Price Flagger and the Retainage Tracker are separate add-ons, each built for its own template. Install the one that matches the job you need done, or both. Each is free to install.

What's the difference between Flagger Pro and Retainage Pro?

Flagger Pro unlocks the paid features of the Stale Price Flagger: it warns you about stale prices before a bid goes out. Retainage Pro unlocks the paid features of the Retainage Tracker: it shows what's withheld, what's unbilled, and how old it is. Same price either way. Buy the one that matches the job bleeding money.

Will it fix my numbers for me?

No. TightNumbers flags dates and adds up figures you entered. The numbers on your bids and invoices are yours to verify. It makes that checking take minutes instead of never happening.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, from your Gumroad account, no phone call needed. Pro features run until the end of what you paid for, free features keep working, and your spreadsheets are untouched because they were always yours.

Your numbers are getting older right now.

Every week your price book sits untouched, the gap between what you bid and what things cost gets wider.

Free to install. Nothing to migrate. Working in the sheet you already have in five minutes.
